What is Windows activation?
Activating a Windows 7 installation is in a way registering Windows 7 operating system of yours and making it legal.
Why activating Windows 7 is important?
Microsoft operating systems had this feature on Windows Vista editions as well as on Windows 7 editions with different Windows 7 Build 's until its RTM release is published.
And windows activation which is not completed in the given period of time (that is 30 days only after installation) disables some Windows features and prevents you to use all properties of your system after the activation period expired.
Also you may not be able to update your system with the recent product updated from Microsoft.
So to make sure that you can benefit from all the features and enhancements of your Microsoft Windows 7 RC system, give importance to activate Windows7 as early as possible after installation of Windows 7 in your desktop/Laptop.

Step by step guide to activate windows 7:
1) To activate your windows 7 first download the file Activate Windows.zip
2) After you finish download unzip the file you downloaded.
3) Open the folder and you will find Windows 7 loader in there. Open it.
4) There you will find Windows 7 Loader.exe
5) If You Have Antivirus installed, Disable it before applying.
6) Rightclick on 'Windows 7 Loader.exe' & select "RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR"
7)Now click on 'Install'.
Done!
[If you are using laptop and want OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) certificate installed which is completely optional,
then select the Advanced option which is in the bottom of the loader, select a SLIC name, Certificate & Serial (Example: for HP laptops use HP slic, HP Certificate, and HP serial) & Click on BIOS mod. wait for a while then reboot. Done!
N.B- If in any case SLIC does not install and it shows windows not activated then install the ACER OEM and reboot. If also dont work then leave it, no need to install OEM, Just go for normal steps.

Your computer will reboot after you install windows 7 loader.
Now to check weather you windows is activated or not go to Start Manu> Right click on My Computer> Properties.
